Aastha Patel
Hi everyone! My name is Aastha Patel, and I am very excited to serve as President this year. I am a senior majoring in Human Biology on the pre-med track and am from Grand Rapids, MI. I currently work as a Patient Care Assistant at Trinity Health Grand Rapids on the Cardiology and Renal floor. I also volunteer at the Refugee Development Center and serve as a volunteer coordinator at Sparrow Hospital. Outside of academics, I enjoy playing tennis and baking. Diya Patel
Hi everyone! My name is Diya Patel, and I am excited to serve as Vice President this year. I am a senior majoring in Human Biology on the pre-med track and am from Nunica, MI. I currently work as a phlebotomist and volunteer at Sparrow Hospital and the Refugee Development Center. Outside of academics, I enjoy traveling, crocheting, and learning about astronomy. I am eager to serve and support our community through meaningful outreach and engagement, as well as to help create valuable opportunities for our members. Hi everyone! My name is Sanvi Patel, and I am honored to serve as the Secretary this year. I am a sophomore majoring in Human Biology on the pre-med track. I am from Spring Lake, MI. I currently work as a Certified Nursing Assistant on the memory care unit at a nursing home. I also volunteer at the Refugee Development Center and Sparrow Hospital in the emergency department. Outside of academics, I enjoy cooking, skiing, and traveling. I am eager to build connections this year, so please feel free to reach out!

Udai Kapoor
Hello everyone! My name is Udai Kapoor, and I am excited to serve as the Treasurer this year. I am a senior majoring in Biomedical Laboratory Science on the pre-med track and am originally from New Delhi, India. I currently work as a Student Research Assistant at the Institute of Quantitative Health Science and Engineering at MSU and also volunteer as a Discharge Volunteer at Sparrow Hospital in Lansing. Outside of academics, I enjoy watching movies and spending time with friends. I look forward to connecting with everyone this semester and am always happy to help.

Anjali Patel
Hey everyone! My name is Anjali Patel, and I am excited to serve as the Public Relations Director this year. I am a senior majoring in Human Biology with a minor in Health Promotion on the pre-PA track. I am from Spring Lake, MI. I currently work as a Patient Care Assistant at Trinity Health Hospital in Grand Rapids on the Neuroscience floor, where my experiences have reinforced my interest in the PA profession. I also volunteer with the Refugee Development Center and in the Labor and Delivery department at McLaren Greater Lansing. Outside of academics, I enjoy traveling, scrapbooking, and spending time with family and friends. Hi everyone! My name is Livia Camargo, and I am excited to serve as the Outreach Officer this year. I am a junior majoring in Human Biology on the pre-med track and am from Novi, MI. I currently work as a research assistant and also volunteer with the Red Cross. Outside of academics, I enjoy cooking and working out. Abhinav Anand
Hi everyone! My name is Abhinav Anand, and I’m excited to be part of this group this year. I’m a senior with a Biochemistry and Molecular Biology major with a minor in Bioethics, and I’m on the pre-med track. I’m originally from Troy, MI, and I currently work as a Patient Care Technician in the CT department at Sparrow, assisting with CAT scans. I also volunteer at Beaumont and at my local temple. Outside of academics, I’m deeply involved in Indian classical dance, specifically Bharatanatyam, and I perform extensively both across the country and internationally. I also enjoy research, cooking, and coffee. I’m thrilled about this semester and please feel free to reach out anytime!

Hi everyone! My name is Sameeksha Sharma, and I am excited to serve as the Co-Events Coordinator this year. I am a junior majoring in Human Biology on the pre-med track and am from Sterling Heights, MI. I currently work as a Biology ULA and also volunteer at a local homeless shelter. Hi everyone! My name is Teja Sivalokanathan, and I am excited to serve as the Secretary Intern this year. I am a sophomore majoring in Neuroscience on the pre-med track and am from Farmington Hills, MI. I am a research assistant in two labs on campus and also work as a Peer Advisor for the Pathway to Research Program at MSU. Outside of academics, I enjoy lifting and listening to music. Faculty Advisor
Nicole Geske, PhD
Hello everyone. I am Nicole Geske, an Associate Professor in the Division of Human Anatomy in East Lansing. I teach gross anatomy for undergraduate, graduate, and pre-clerkship medical students in the College of Osteopathic Medicine (MSUCOM). I teach anatomy and ultrasound labs and serve as the Course Director for OST 510: Clinical Gross Anatomy, as well as the East Lansing Anatomy Lab Site Director and Lab Director for OST 521: Musculoskeletal System and OST 535: Respiratory System.
I am also an instructor for the undergraduate pre-health professionals’ anatomy course (ANTR 350), the undergraduate human gross anatomy laboratory course (ANTR 355L), and the undergraduate, pre-clerkship, and clerkship human prosection courses (ANTR 485; OST 587, 670). I serve as a co-Course Director for ANTR 350 and as the Course Director for ANTR 355L, the MSUCOM prosection courses (OST 587 and OST 670), and the Independent Study in Clinical Morphology course (OST 588). I also teach anatomy for the Advanced Baccalaureate Learning Experience (ABLE) program in the College of Human Medicine (MSUCHM).
My research interests include anatomy education, active learning, and student perceptions of learning. I mentor students in creating, developing, and disseminating research on morphological human variation and case studies. I am also involved in anatomy outreach through the OsteoCHAMPS and FutureDOcs programs through MSUCOM.
